Happy Monday, y’all! If you’ve been following along the past couple weeks, then you know we’ve started our “home tour” series, room by room! First up, was our favorite retreat… our sunroom (check it out here), the second feature was all about our guest suite (check it out here), and the third feature was about our master bedroom and bathroom (check it our here). Today, we’re so excited to share all of the details of our P+P Studio with y’all!

When it came to designing our office, we applied our signature strategy – crisp white walls throughout the entire space! We painted the ceilings, walls and even the floors (minus the entry and stairs where we used our favorite orangey red color) to make the office feel sun-filled and cheerful. The next order of business was to add color and pattern… lots and lots of of color and pattern (because you know color makes us happy)! We immediately started browsing all our favorite Schumacher wallpapers because we think that the very best way to transform a space and add visual interest is with wallpaper! We landed on this deconstructed stripe wallpaper in red for accent walls, this kandira sky wallpaper in blue in the conference room, and this chinoiserie peal river blues wallpaper in the restroom. For furnishings, we designed desks using butcher block and drawer units from IKEA to create a custom u-shaped arrangement. We decided to create multiple work zones throughout which have proven to be the perfect spots to break out for quick team meetings and lunches! And because no room is ever complete without a few vintage finds… we headed over to our friends at Wonders on Woodland to pick up a few treasures. For window treatments, we partnered with The Shade Store to create our stripe blue and white roman shades.

Inspiration is so important to us, which is why we had our in-house graphic designer, create custom graphics to wrap the space above our inspiration boards. Two of our favorite quotes: "Your imagination is your reality." from Diana Vreeland. "Never accept O.K. anything" from Charles and Ray Eames, consistently remind us to be both creative and perfectionists. For our inspiration boards, we utilized these cork boards from Target – super affordable! We love the opportunity to pin up anything that is inspiring us at the moment, elements from current projects, and daily reminders (you can snap up Gen’s 5 Daily Reminders here).

And speaking of inspiration… there’s truly nothing more inspiring to us than pretty art! To warm up the white walls and add visual interest we purchased pieces from one of our go-to sources for art, Minted! One of our favorite things about Minted is it's quick and easy and so many fun styles to choose from! The very best part? You can customize every one of these pieces in the perfect size – and even choose your own frame and matting! We used this, this, and this in the studio! We also picked up a few pieces from our dear friend Kayce Hughes to add happy pops of color!

For the bathroom, we teamed up with our friends at Kohler to freshen up all the fixtures (this instantly made the space feel modern). We then looked to our friends at Schumacher to add this playful wallpaper for a healthy dose of color and pattern. To bring the space all together, we then layered in this Serena & Lily rattan mirror, a piece of Minted art, and a fresh flowers in a blue and white vase! Spring Wardrobe Styling with Talbots

Hey y’all, we are SO excited to share an extra special project we have been working on over the past few weeks with our friends at Talbots! We had so much fun shopping their new collection full of happy prints and classic silhouettes to curate a playful, yet timeless summer wardrobe. With a few key pieces, it’s easy to mix and match an assortment of “go to” outfits that will take you through the spring and summer season in style!

For the most versatility within our wardrobe, we prefer to work with a limited color palette. This allows for flexibility to mix and match pieces, creating endless possibilities for new looks without breaking the bank! During the warmer months, one of our go-to palettes is a classic red, white, and (all shades of) blue. We adore pairing our favorite white jeans with a crisp white blouse for a monochromatic look and then adding a fun pop of color with our shoes or playful hair scarf. Similarly, you cant go wrong with mixing different shades of blue to add depth and dimension to any outfit! We especially love this stripe shirtdress or this darling chambray style layered with a pretty floral cardigan. And of course, our summer wardrobe wouldn’t be complete without a playful mix of happy patterns! There is nothing better than a bold print on a breezy sundress or playful skirt, or even a touch of pattern on a chic silky, summer scarf - prints just make us happy and they are a great way to add pop to an otherwise tonal look!

We believe accessories can transform a look or be the subtle finishing touch to classic pair of jeans, your favorite striped tee, and relaxed linen blazer. We are especially crushing on these bumblebee earrings, this simple gold bangle (perfect for stacking), and these adorable daisy studs! To switch things up, we also love to accessorize a more tonal look with an unexpected color in a shoe, a whimsical printed bag, or a pretty scarf in our hair. And don’t forget our “go to” summer layering essentials - the perfect white jean jacket, a printed cardigan, and a classic linen blazer that will take you from day to evening. Since there’s nothing we love more than classic white linens on a bed… we use Matouk’s Butterfield bedding year round in our master bedroom! We love the visual interest that the sweet scalloped detail and delicate pop of blue trim adds to our room (we also added a personalized monogram to our shams for a bespoke touch)! But, during the warmer months we always find ourselves gravitating towards color (even more than usual) which is why we love introducing extra pops of pattern in the form of accent pillows (see all our pillow favorites here)! Take a peek at these floral stem printed shams by Lulu DK x Matouk that we snapped up last summer - we love their playful energy! For our bedside table, we use this parsons table and love how much space it has for bedside “pretties”,art, and vintage trinkets! And because we think every room needs a touch of rattan we installed these natural sconces and these bamboo blinds!

It’s no secret we love pattern, so when scheming up our master bathroom we knew wanted to use a playful wallpaper! We immediately fell in love with this graphic Schumacher pattern (and the best news is that while it’s normally only available to the trade you can snap it up here)! We adore the way it acts as the perfect backdrop to make our brass sconces and art “pop” (like our “!” alphabet art!) And, since we’re big believers in taking advantage of every nook and cranny in our home, we added this sweet tulip side table and bamboo chair (it’s our favorite place for a morning cappuccino while we get ready for the day)! Spring Favorites From MyTheresa

Happy Thursday, y’all! We hope everyone is safe at home and enjoying this pretty spring weather. Although we are still not back to our regular routine of being out and about, this has not stopped us from crushing on all of the fun and happy spring pieces from MyTheresa! And as the warmer weather rolls in, we’ll be living in pretty patterned sundresses! On weekends, it’s time to go “old school” and dress for cocktail hour or date night in the garden. These small distractions have truly transformed our time in quarantine and reignited our love for playing dress up!!

As we look ahead to future dinners and time spent with friends, we are already mentally curating our spring & summer wardrobe! This striking, puff sleeve dress, woven shoulder bag, and printed wrap skirt are all currently at the tippy top of our wish list. We believe everyone needs a breezy white dress in their warm weather lineup, and this feminine frock would be stunning dressed up with a fun wedge or down with a simple sandal!
