Happy Monday, y’all! In case you missed last week’s blog post… we started our “home tour” series, and first up, was our favorite retreat… our sunroom (check it out here)! Today, we’re sharing our upstairs “guest suite,” and if you’ve been following since 2016, then you may recall that this room was part of our “one room challenge” series. We love how cozy this space is for our favorite guests and lately, we’ve been finding ourselves working from home at the tulip table, upholstered bamboo chairs, and sofa! The walls are painted in Farrow & Ball “Pink Ground”, and we love how it provides a warm base against the graphic striped rug and the texture of the bamboo shades. Atop our midcentury dresser, we stacked our favorite inspirational coffee table books and framed a vintage wallpaper sample that we found years ago at a flea market (art is truly the best way to add personality and charm to a space). Lucky for you, so many of the pieces we used are still available to purchase like this rattan bed, this striped rug, these vintage blanc de chine lamps, this minimal white side table, these antiqued brass library lights, this x-bench, and this handmade coverlet. One of our favorite parts of the space? The refreshed bathroom! Some of our favorite details in this relaxing space include the bold painting by our dear friend, Kayce Hughes, our marble top vanity, this scallop edge mirror, the rectangular tub, and a chinoiserie garden stool. Be sure to take a peek above if you’d like to get more of the look yourself! Happy shopping, y’all!

Happy Tuesday, y’all! Recently, so many of you have been asking for glimpses into our home, so we thought it’d be fun to start tours, room by room! First up, our favorite retreat, the sunroom (click here to see the before pictures)! This happy space is where we love to curl up with our coffee in the mornings on on the sectional, unwind with our favorite shelter magazines in the afternoon, and host happy hours with all of our favorites around our vintage bar… all seen above! Today, we’re sharing the sources for all the pieces inside our sunroom like this indoor/outdoor sectional, these pretty pillows, this coffee table, this silk screen, and wallpaper so you can get the look yourself! And, because it’s probably no surprise by now that our favorite rooms are always layered with vintage treasures… take a peek at this ceramic elephant stool, this blanc de chine lamp, vintage glassware, this match striker, and unique art! Another favorite part of this space? We adore that we can open up the French doors to the patio and move seamlessly between the two spaces (especially when we are dining alfresco with guests). Be sure to check our our favorite outdoor teak dining table, these rattan chargers, this block print tablecloth, this pagoda bench, and twinkle lights (for instant ambiance) above. Happy shopping, y’all!

Spring Dresses from Nordstrom

It’s hard to believe that we’ve been working from home since March 12th. Like everyone else out there, I think the reality of the situation is finally beginning to settle in, and we are ALL adjusting to our new lives. In the big picture, I’m sure we can all agree that staying at home for a few months is really a very small price to pay to save lives.

We’ve found that as we enter week three of working from home, we are really craving a bit of normalcy and routine. And although we’ve fully enjoyed working all day in our coziest pajamas - it’s time to embrace our “new normal”! As the weather finally begins to warm up, we’re looking forward to reimagining our daily work uniform, because there’s nothing like putting on a pretty patterned dress and red lipstick to lift the spirits!

We’ve just treated ourselves to a few fun new finds from Nordstrom! Take a peek at this patterned Ulla Johnson midi, this puff sleeve beauty, and this vibrant, embroidered steal (under $50!!), Because let’s face it - during these crazy times, a little “retail therapy” never hurts! As always, Nordstrom continues to be our “go to” source for dresses for all occasions, and we are especially loving their new spring releases, their quick delivery, and easy online returns!

As we daydream about upcoming days when we can get together and spend time with friends, we have been playing “dress up” in our closets and scheming about all of the fun pieces we’ll be wearing later this summer! Until then, we are loving this pretty weather and taking walks outside in this eyelet shift dress and our favorite straw fedora for some extra protection from the sun. And although we might not be able to go out to restaurants, we still enjoy dressing up for date night at home! We think this airy, silk beauty paired with a simple gold sandal and your favorite gold hoops would make the perfect outfit for you next dinner date in your dining room or out in your garden!

Ready to play dress up with us? Check out all of our favorites from Nordstrom below! Happy shopping, y’all!

Say Howdy To The Natalie

Happy Tuesday, y’all!! We hope everyone is well and has settled into their “new normal” at home. We continue to count our blessings to be able to work safely from home during these unusual times- and are exceptionally grateful to those working so diligently to get us to the other side. We will continue to share people and ideas that we hope inspire you during this time- and of course continue to highlight our favorite small, female owned business along the way. Today we’re sharing one of our favorite new designers and biggest girl crushes whose style and perfectly curated Instagram is truly a daily inspiration for us! Sarah Flint, a New York based luxury shoe designer, has created an amazing line of classic, luxury shoe styles that boast the quality of high-end designers without the traditional retail markup. We just adore Sarah’s traditional yet fresh and playful approach to both design and life! We couldn’t adore this female founded and run company more, and we cannot get enough of these classic Italian, handmade treasures.

Our current favorite style, the Natalie, is the perfect go-to design for our work from home routine! Truthfully, we have spent the last couple of weeks working in our pajamas, but the arrival of the beauties has inspired us to get up and get ready for the day! This chic, classic, and most importantly, unbelievably comfortable style- comes in six different colors and prints to perfectly match any look. We are in love with the ballerina, pointed toe design and feminine asymmetrical bow detail! We have paired this fun red calf color way with our favorite lip color (shade Chili Pepper), our go-to Warby Parker frames, our Love Y’all tote, the most flattering pair of jeans, and this paisley patterned blouse to create the perfect relaxed “work from home” uniform!

Each morning, we pick a different spot in our house to enjoy our morning coffee and get started on the day’s work. Whether it’s the kitchen counter, our home office, or cheerful sunroom, our goal is to find new workspaces that inspire and motivate us each and every day. And once our work is finished, you’ll find us in our closet dreaming up all the different ways we’ll style these Grecian style sandals, these chic tortoise slingback pumps, and these navy cut-out heels with all of our future spring and summer looks!!

Happy Wednesday, y’all! It seems the more we sit inside at home, the more we have the urge to refresh the rooms in our house for brighter and sunnier days ahead! So, we thought it’d be fun to round up all the pieces we’re currently crushing on that make for an easy and instantly gratifying refresh! Take a peek at some of our favorite finds below!

It’s no secret that we adore art because of its transformative powers in a room! There’s truly nothing more impactful than a bold pop of color juxtaposed on a crisp white wall, or an interesting patterned piece against playful wallpaper. Right now, we’re loving this colorful triptych, this whimsical acrylic painting, and this blue and white abstract piece. And because we can’t resist a few vintage finds we think you’ll want to take a peek at this, this and this. P.S. Friendly reminder that we offer ready-made, unframed 8” x 10” versions of our Color Studies and Alphabet Art available directly on our website. Whether you’re looking to add a pop of color to a gallery wall or personalize a space - you can now score our art here!

Pillows truly help bring a home to life with the introduction of pattern, texture, and color (especially when you dare to mix and match)! One of our favorite sources for beautifully made pillows (at a great price point)?!?! We love Dear Keaton and have their playful pillows in our sunroom (as seen above). The best part is that each pillow is different, but they all work together so nicely. Curious about other pillows we love? Check out this Schumacher Lotus garden pillow, this blue and white chinoiserie pillow, this tropical pillow, and this geometric pillow (take a peek at the rope detail). Don’t forget you can shop all our pillow favorites here!

So many times when are on the hunt for that “perfect piece” that completes a room it ends up being a rug! Our favorites? We love this navy border natural jute rug, this geometric flat weave, this hand knotted denim rug, and this scallop rug! We’re also crushing on this, this and this (perfect for anchoring any space while making it extra cozy)! And we can’t forget to mention our go-to natural jute rug (snap up an 8x10 for under $200)! Friendly reminder that you can shop all our go to rugs here. Scroll down to browse more of our favorites below! Happy shopping, y’all!
