Festive Looks + An Event Announcement!

Happy Wednesday, y’all! Our December calendar has quickly filled up with so many fun parties, events and travel plans, and this month we’re leaning on new festive favorites from J.McLaughlin to take the guesswork out of what to wear! Their timeless, classically tailored pieces are easy to mix and match while still getting dressed in a flash…we’re so excited to share this trio of holiday-ready looks!

Great outerwear is such an effortless (not to mention cozy!) way to elevate even the simplest daytime outfits like the cashmere sweater, corduroys and flats combo shown here! This belted wool camel coat adds instant polish, and is basically guaranteed to never go out of style! Try it cinched at the waist over a silk dress to go out to dinner, or throw it over leggings to pop out to the grocery store on a last-minute ingredient run! This outfit is becoming our go-to for the days we want to be casual + comfortable, yet still having fun with our clothes (at the airport, weekend brunch or shopping for gifts!). We’ll always be denim devotees, but lately we’re realizing how cords are so perfect for the occasions when you want to take it up a notch from jeans, but it’s not necessary (or it’s too cold!) to wear a dress! Other staples we can’t live without? Neutral knitwear and perfect simple white sneakers…super practical and beautifully made, these essentials take the (very stylish!) back seat so bolder colors and prints can shine!

Just like cords, our collection of plaid pants is wonderful for dressing up and down for a variety of festive gatherings…they look equally great with a crisp white shirt + loafers as a luxe faux fur jacket and suede heels! To top it all off, we really adore J.McLaughin’s range of chic handbags…from this striped tote that’s perfect for daytime outings to this darling little bamboo clutch that adds whimsical texture to evening looks!

And, we have a special surprise for our Nashville friends! Holiday Decorating + Entertaining Must-Haves!

Happy Tuesday, y’all! We’re so excited to bring you another round up of festive home finds from Walmart! Now that we’re embracing holiday mode in full swing, it’s been a blast decking the halls (and just about everywhere else in the house!) with cheerful decorations, and getting ourselves organized for gathering and gifting! Collecting all of the details that make this season so magical is no small undertaking, and that’s why we adore shopping at Walmart for fun finds that won’t break the bank! One of our favorite first steps for getting the house ready for holiday visitors is giving the entryway an extra-welcoming boost! This darling pre-lit wreath (that’s only $21!) is the perfect place to start! It arrives ready to hang, and we love amping up the charm by tying on an oversized velvet or grosgrain bow (browse a rainbow of ribbon options here!)…for less than $25 and in only 5 minutes, you’ve got an effortless, inviting upgrade! While you’re there, don’t forget to snap up our go-to Greek key door mat that adds a great graphic punch while helping keep the foyer tidy!

We know it’s not always easy to be a relaxed hostess, and luckily Walmart has so many clever finds to ease stress even when entertaining a large number of guests! For big family tables, stock up on several sets of our favorite bamboo flatware…they’re dishwasher safe and pair beautifully with a variety of linens and serveware! This print-happy set of dishes is another one of our favorite affordable tabletop tricks (each 16 piece set is under $40!)…so wonderful for mixing in with your existing white china to stretch pieces for a crowd! If you have overnight guests on the calendar, don’t miss the opportunity to score a few extra sets of soft, organic cotton bath towels (6 pieces for $38!)…these classic colors + stripes coordinate with just about any bathroom decor, and provide the perfect pampering touch!

Ready-to-Ship Finds From Serena & Lily!

Howdy, y’all! We hope you’re having a wonderful holiday weekend full of family, friends and yummy food! We’ve been searching for a small side table for the seating area in our guest room, and were thrilled to find the perfect style at Serena & Lily! The Tunbridge side table is just the right size, and we adore that the entire table is wrapped in continuous lines of rattan, including the stylish tulip base. What’s better yet is that this is one of Serena & Lily’s in-stock styles that ships almost immediately, which is such a delight during this time when so many furniture and decor options are impacted by supply chain and delivery delay issues! Serena & Lily has a new filter-by-availability search feature on their site that makes it so easy to find the styles that are available to ship in one to two weeks, three to four weeks, or even within two days. This is especially great as we’re getting the house ready for holiday guests, plus finding the best gifts to give (and receive!) this year. To use the feature, just select the product category you want to search (like “Side & Martini Tables” under the “Living” section in the main menu on their homepage), and then you’ll see the filter options on the left side of the page (or at the top if you’re on a mobile device) and you just click the timeframes you want to include in your search result.
