Though we adore plaid for all occasions, we’re most excited to lean on this classic print as the foundation of our holiday looks…from a puff sleeve dress to these darling double-buckle pumps, we believe there’s no such thing as too much plaid this time of year! Holiday-Ready Finds!

Happy Tuesday, y’all! Tracking down the perfect gift for everyone on your list can be overwhelming, not to mention spendy! Once again, Walmart saves the day with adorable AND affordable finds that make the whole shopping process easier! This season we’re super smitten with this trio of floral-scented candles in the most charming printed tins (after the candle runs out we’d love to reuse them as trinket boxes!). There are so many different ways these could be gifted…they’re the perfect token of appreciation for your child’s teacher or the neighborhood postal worker, as the companion to a gift card or hostess thank you note, or as a stocking stuffer or sitting at each place setting during a dinner party! You could gift one recipient all three, or break up the set to divide among friends like we did here! We highly recommend stocking up on this fun find to have on hand and solve any last-minute gift emergencies! For us, what really elevates any present (big or small!) is tying on a beautiful bow in velvet or grosgrain ribbon; in just a few seconds you’ve got an extra pop of color and layer of thoughtfulness. Plus, when the item already has great packaging, all it needs is ribbon and a cute tag to become a sweet gift!

Lately we’ve been finding so many cheerful home accents that double as both gifts and solutions for entertaining! Versatile Dresses We Adore!

Happy Friday y’all! Holiday dressing and resort wear may sound unrelated, but lately we’ve been surprised (and delighted!) to find so many dresses and accessories at Saks that are brilliantly adaptable for both! We’re hooked on the idea of gorgeously versatile dresses, because whenever we fall in love with a piece it’s always a joy to discover multiple ways to style it! As it turns out, the vibrant colors and prints we adore for holiday dressing are just as fabulous for a warm weather getaway at the beach! Celebrating at home in Nashville, we love to layer beautifully constructed blazers (satin or velvet ones feel more evening than office!) over dresses for both warmth and an unexpected note of contrast. The juxtaposition of menswear-inspired tailoring and a flowing dress makes for a fun-yet-practical outfit! Then if you’re escaping the winter chill and heading somewhere tropical, you can pack the same dress but swap out the blazer and pumps for sandals and a raffia bag!

Accessories are the key to adapting our new favorite dresses to different locations and occasions! First start with jewelry…for the holidays we especially love the wink of vintage charm that accents like gem clusters, pearls and colored crystals lend to festive looks! This time of year we’re partial to sparkly footwear, whether its the glittered heels shown here, this shimmery pink pair or these bow detail pumps! We adore little bags like this sweet gathered pouch (so many color options!) and this timeless envelope clutch on winter evenings out. For getaways, we recommend adding rattan and raffia wherever possible…have a look at this cute mini basket, this chic studded raffia tote, this cane box bag and these bamboo earrings! Then, trade out your party pumps for embellished or classic leather sandals!

We’re dress lovers though and through, but lately we’ve also been leaning on separates for a fun mix up! Treat yourself to a pretty top for dressing up on the weekends with a silk midi skirt, and then try it with your favorite jeans on the weekdays! We also love the texture variety of pairing a simple cashmere crewneck with a taffeta maxi skirt!
