Introducing Our New Dondolo x P+P Collection!

Happy Thursday, y’all! We are SO thrilled to announce that our latest collaboration with Dondolo is now live to shop! From beautifully-smocked dresses and tops to print + color-happy tabletop accessories, the Dondolo Love Collection includes all of our favorite ways to bring a bit of extra joy into your home and wardrobe!

We fell in love with Catalina Gonzalez (and the female-forward mission behind her amazing company!), back at a Creative Club event in 2019, and then in the fall of 2020 we were oven the moon about releasing a womenswear collection with the Dondolo team! While everything they design is incredibly adorable, the story behind their work is even more heartwarming! Catalina started her company as a way to give back to the women and mothers of her native country, Colombia, through the ethical manufacturing of Dondolo’s products there. You can even add a small donation at checkout to support the Dondolo Gives initiatives, which include bringing a new community center, educational programs and other valuable resources to Colombia. Catalina and her whole team are so inspiring to work with, so almost immediately after wrapping the first collection we all began dreaming up a second one!

The Dondolo team never fails to amaze us with their craftsmanship and attention to quality, especially when it comes to updating traditional techniques like smocking + embroidery with fresh colors + prints! While absolutely perfect for enjoying all things summer, these are pieces you’ll be able to love season after season! In addition to versatile dresses and tops in our favorite red + blue palette, we’ve also designed a collection of ceramic plates hand-painted by artists in Colombia, and joyful table linens featuring some of the same details as our dresses! We’re delighted with how effortless it feels to create a gorgeously layered table just by mixing and matching the various linens! For an extra pop of texture, don’t forget to snap up a set of hand-woven iraca palm placemats with the most darling scalloped edge!

Outdoor Favorites with Serena & Lily!

There’s hardly a better time to relax and entertain al fresco than the height of summer, and we can always count on Serena & Lily for the ultimate style and comfort outdoors! Their brand is never one to sacrifice form for function…you can be sure these beautiful pieces will stand the test of time (and the elements!). It’s been such a joy adding to our collection of Serena & Lily outdoor ‘room’ pieces over the years, and we love how their variety of shapes and silhouettes can suit any space, whether you have a tiny balcony (try a pair of wicker chairs + a small side table) or a sprawling garden (this teak table includes an expandable leaf for larger dinner parties!). We wanted to create an outdoor area that’s equally tranquil for one or two of us to unwind with a book as it is welcoming for lively cocktail hours with friends. With our patio located just off the kitchen, we love how easily guests can flow between the spaces during dinner parties!

When decorating outdoors, we approach the process in many of the same ways as our interiors. We can’t resist the freshness of a light + bright white foundation (here that means pale wicker + crisp upholstery), followed by layers of color, texture and pattern (the more the merrier!). For this color scheme, we took a cue from classic blue + white ceramics, using the mix of pillows to echo the vintage planters we have scattered throughout! Though we’re lucky to have a spot surrounded by big trees, we still love to add more depth by bringing in potted plants…in our book you can’t go wrong with whimsical ferns and clipped boxwoods! And of course, we’re always up for the added pop of color from a vase of fresh flowers!

We couldn’t be more smitten with the way this space came together, and how effortlessly our new pieces evolve throughout the day from morning coffees to sunset dinners!
