Color Crush

On Wednesdays we wear pink…and red and burgundy! We’re smitten with this rosy color combo right now, and we’ve rounded up some favorite pieces to work into your closet and your home, plus some fun holiday gift ideas!

Cozy sweaters and jackets are at the top of our wardrobe wishlist, like this fluffy coat, this wool parka (on major sale today!), this sherpa pullover and this fair isle sweater. We’re also crushing on pretty leather pieces in shades of burgundy (this ruffled collar, this quilted bag, these croc flats for just $26!) and red (these gloves, these flats!), which are a great counterpoint to lighter pink and peach dresses and separates. Our Favorite Kitchen Finds

Happy Monday, y’all! Today we’re sharing our favorite functional kitchen finds that are perfect for making some updates to your kitchen space (especially now that we’re spending so much time at home), plus they make such great holiday gifts!

We will forever adore enameled cast iron pots and pans by Le Creuset and Staub, and this is a great time of year to snag them on sale! We’re certain that the cooks in your life would be thrilled to receive a Dutch oven, skillet or saucepan in their favorite colors! Another pan we’re obsessed with right now is this do-it-all wonder with an integrated spoon rest that comes in six pretty colors.

We’ve been setting the breakfast table with the loveliest rattan placemats, batik napkins, hand-painted dishes and our go-to gold flatware (which is such a great deal!). Pretty tabletop items make perfect presents, and one of our favorite sources for finding unusual pieces is The Avenue (we love these blue and white plates, these bamboo napkin rings and these rattan tumblers!). Other kitchen gifts we’re giving this year include this darling recipe tin and matching recipe cards, this glass cloche with a marble base, this wicker-wrapped salt and pepper set and these ombré serving utensils. For the wine lover in your life, this wine preservation system would make such a great gift, and this handmade bread crumb board is the perfect find for baking aficionados! We love the idea of gifting beautiful mugs during the holiday season; pair them with a pretty tray and a bag of Fountain City Coffee beans for the most gorgeous AND useful present!

We’re major coffee fans and you may have seen us raving about this splurge-worthy espresso machine (so worth it!). Other small appliances we love include this smart oven with super convection, this powerhouse blender and our beloved stand mixer (the go-to for all of our holiday baking!).

One easy way to give your kitchen a quick refresh is with new pulls for your cabinets and drawers, and we adore these modern brass pulls! We love brass touches throughout the kitchen, including faucets like this and this, lantern light fixtures over the island, and open shelving that is perfect for displaying all your pretty pieces, like this hand-painted pitcher, these scalloped plates (which are on sale right now!) and this jadeite cake stand. We also love incorporating vintage finds in the kitchen, like this hobnail milk glass planter that we use to hold eggs (snap up similar ones here and here!).

We can’t get enough of sparkly accessories (these earrings, this ring!) and are dreaming about a few splurge-worthy pieces that we’d love to find under the tree on Christmas morning, like this bag, these gloves and this watch!

For the home, we’ll never tire of a touch of rattan or wicker (like this table, this mirror and these frames) and we’re eyeing some new ice buckets like this and this to elevate our bar cart game, as well as vintage barware finds. We’re always on the hunt for pieces like vintage coupes, which also make great holiday gifts! The Perfect Bar Cart

Holiday gatherings may be much smaller this year, but we still love a festive bar cart that captures the spirit of the season! We’re sharing our “cheat sheet” to help make it super easy to assemble the perfect bar cart at your home. Our recommended elements are:

• Beautiful bottles of liquor

• Champagne, wine and beer

• Mixers (e.g. San Pellegrino, Fever Tree tonic water, fresh squeezed juices)

• Fresh fruit, olives, cocktail onions, fresh herbs, Luxardo cherries and other garnishes

• Pretty glassware (we love a mix of vintage and new, and you’ll want a variety of styles…highball, old fashioned, coupe, martini, white wine, red wine, cognac)

• Decanters (we love this, this and this!)

• Small bowls and plates for fruit, garnishes, nuts and candy

• Coasters

• Cocktail napkins

• Straws, stirrers and cocktail picks

• A large tray (we love this, this and this!)

• Decorative boxes to add varying height and store extra napkins, straws, etc.

• Ice bucket, tongs and ice

• Wine/Champagne chiller

• Cocktail tools (bottle opener, corkscrew, shaker, strainer, muddler, spoon)

• Small cutting board and knife

• Fresh flowers or holiday greens (for color and fragrance!)

• And last, but not least, the bar cart itself! The “cart” doesn’t necessarily need to be the traditional kind with wheels…some of the most chic bar setups we’ve created use vintage tables, consoles and other furniture pieces as the foundation.

Happy Wednesday, y’all! We can hardly believe that it’s December and the holiday season is in full swing!
