Resort-Ready Fashion!

Happy Wednesday, y’all! We’re taking a departure from winter layers to dive into our dream packing list for a warm weather getaway! Saks is one of our favorite resources for fashion year round, and we especially love the incredible mix of styles they bring together for resort season! For us, the resort wardrobe is all about elegant silhouettes that are still super easy to wear (we’re trying to relax, after all!) and island-inspired materials that lend a sense of place (hello raffia, pearls and vibrant prints!).

What we love most about the tiered puff sleeve dress pictured here is that it’s unlikely to collect dust in the back of your closet when you’re not on vacation! Its lightweight cotton poplin fabric is easy-breezy beachside with sandals and a sun hat, but the versatile burgundy hue also pairs beautifully with boots and a jacket at home during the colder months! Thanks to the power of accessories, it’s a wonderfully adaptable (and reasonably priced!) piece that’s sure to fall into frequent rotation!

As always, accessories are the game changer when it comes to having the most fun with resort wear! It’s the perfect opportunity to go for something more whimsical than your everyday pieces. Give your go-to carry all a weekend off and treat yourself to a raffia or wicker bag… they bring such great texture to any outfit and their neutral materials still go with everything! We’re big fans of statement earrings at any destination, but something about being on vacation gets us leaning into oversized even more than usual…try a colorful raffia pair for daytime and bring out the gold tones and stones for evening! It’s such a blast to go bold with footwear at the beach, whether it’s with color, embellishments, or both! We love how these studded sandals add a bit of edge to a flouncy dress! If you’re looking for more classic subtlety there’s nothing these leather slides wouldn’t pair beautifully with!
