p+p reveal: serene master bedroom retreat

Serene Master Bedroom // Design by Pencil & Paper Co.
Art by Alic Daniel
Luxury bedding in Ivory Classic Chain by Matouk

Today we're revealing a "serene master bedroom retreat" for one of our favorite clients! This young couple loves color, but with three small children, they wanted their bedroom to be an elegant escape from their busy days! We kept the palette to soothing blues and neutrals, and mixed in a variety of patterns to keep it fresh.

We used the fabulous Greek key trim from DecoratorsBest to give the curtains a tailored look. If you've ever wondered how to get wallpaper, fabrics and trim (and even readymade pillows!) that are normally trade-only, then DecoratorsBest is your source! They carry so many of the brands we love, and it's perfect for at-home decorators who may not be using a designer!

Another statement-maker in the room: the gorgeous lamp by Bunny Williams Home. The graphic blue brushstrokes on this large table lamp add just the right amount of pop to keep the bedside feeling modern, and we adore the beautiful gold detail at the base.

The Grace Nightstand is the perfect size and color for this room...and the gold knobs add just the right finishing touch! Ballard Designs always comes through for great design at an accessible price point. They're a go-to source for us on so many projects!

The super luxurious bedding from Matouk in Classic Chain completes the "retreat" feel! We love the subtle ivory embroidery as another layer of neutrals while still providing a graphic pattern. The sheets are incredibly soft and make the bedroom feel so elegant. We think investing in heirloom quality linens is something you won't regret!

A few other special details...art by Kayce Hughes, vintage chinoiserie decorative pillow on the bed (similar here), and art by Alic Daniel on the Society Social console. We've rounded up many of the items in the "serene master bedroom retreat" and you can find them below!

If you're in need of a refresh of your home, take a look at our "Design to Go" option...we've got a few openings for November!
