We are officially two weeks into the "One Room Challenge" and its been a frenzy of quick decision making and placing orders. Nothing like a 6 week deadline to get you motivated! Sometimes official "commitments" are just the push a designer needs to squeeze our own personal home into the "client roster". Thank you Linda for helping us get this room off our "to do" list and into action!
We thought we would begin by sharing a bit about our design process. We typically start by creating a Pinterest board of room inspiration. We have shared a few of our favorites above. Next we assess the needs of the client and outline what functions the space needs to include (sleeping, guest storage, place to read, breakfast nook etc). Finally we pull key pieces of furniture onto a concept board that represents the overall vibe of the room which you can see below.

As we mentioned last week, although we adore clean white walls we thought this "Guest" space would be the perfect opportunity to play with a bit of soft color. We are obsessed with "Pink Ground" by Farrow & Ball and love how it turned out! Our ultimate goal is to create a layered, yet fresh and comfortable space for our guests. See you next week for a reveal of our freshly painted blush room and the beginning of our furniture install!
